This is so important to recognize and I think it will lead to some significant changes to training of surgeons - I would like to see a comparable study of surgeons in Australia and consideration of changes in our training structure to be more similar to their approach (advancement through the program to staff level is based on proof of physical skills in the operating room, not simply didactic testing and meeting vague rotation requirements).
